A Man and His Prostate is a compelling comedy stage play and true life experience of hilarious magnitude. Written by and about Mr. Asner’s longtime friend, Ed. Weinberger, this play takes one a journey of pain, anatomy, and laughter - not necessarily in that order.

This one-man play is a seriously funny show, based on a serious subject. The story revolves around one  life-changing week in a foreign hospital.  Events that week include a rectal exam, enemas, the fear of post-surgery impotence, and  yes, sex after 70. A Man and His Prostate gives the audience a hilarious scenario. Ed Asner makes A Man and His Prostate so gut-bustingly funny.

Ed Asner is a television legend, well known for his role as Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore

Show and subsequent spin-off Lou Grant. He is the winner of eight acting Emmy Awards, and has been nominated a total of 27 times. Asner also made a name for himself as a trade unionist and a political activist. He served two terms as president of the Screen Actors Guild, from 1981-1985, during which he was an outspoken critic of former SAG President Ronald Reagan, then the US president, for his Central American policy. He lives in Los Angeles.

“Believe it or not, it is just as appealing to women as it is to men.” - Ed Asner.
